Yule

I find myself enjoying the X-mas more than I thought I would. Yay!

Here's some pics I took while trying to entertain myself between movies and eating.

"To Maria from an imaginery being: Santa" (My boyfriend)

And here's some the lovely presents I got! Whoa, I've been nice this year.

There's some black velvet apricot products from The Body Shop, some chocolate, woolen mittens and plenty of books! My grandma gave me a book about moomins and how they connect to great philosophic thinkers such as Kierkegaard and Sartre.

My boyfriend gave me awsome books: my favourite comedian and idol George Carlin's Braindroppings is filled with humorous remarks about things, in a guaranteed carlinish manner. I'm going to love this so much. Then there's The Crow -graphic novel by J. O´Barr, The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins and God Is Not Great by Christopher Hitchens. Both classics already. How very convinient, it's not really even the real birthday of this fictional messiah character called Jesus. Wasn't even the right season of the year. But since the pagans liked to celebrate the mid-winter all around Europe, from Saturnalia to Yule and have a big feast, why shouldn't the church also, especially while trying to convert everyone to Christianity. So copy and paste and tadaa, a "Christian" holiday was born. How very convinient.

Christmas tree - there's nothing Christian about its origin. Just some twisted mind fuck by all the priests and religious people who try to convince all the other people that without them and their beliefs there wouldn't be any celebration for the rest of us. I call that BS. Big time.

What was I talking about? Oh yes, the presents... ;D

On top of these wonderful things I also got this wonderful woolen knit cardigan from my grandma. I had wished for this for a looong time! Filippa K rocks.

Not looking forward to it

I'm not really a X-mas person, I hate all the fuss and shouldas. I'd be happy to spend my holiday completley alone since my boyfriend has to attend to his familys get-together. Of course I'd be welcomed to join them, and prolly I would, but I have to go to and spend some time with my relatives. Don't really even care about most of them. Actually I hate most of my relatives. But hey, "It's Christmas, of course you have to love each and every one of them for a whole week and pretend they don't drive you on the verge of insanity!" I don't buy it. There's a reason why we don't see each other other than this holiday.

I'll most likely spend my Christmas eating chocolate and cheese and getting drunk with my best mate red wine and trying to ignore everyone else. What a lovely holiday.

College pants in streetstyle

Here's my solution to freezing my arse off: thick and loose college pants. You can pile whole lotta layers of woolen tights under them and you won't get cold! Genious. Also looks fun. Not the most flattering piece of clothing, but who says it always has to be just that. Call it a statement. :D

Freezer cold!

It's been freezing cold here the whole week, my dressing up has been mostly about woolen layers one after another... Here's one of my outfits I wear outside! BF took these this time.
